Orange Shirt Day

In honour of National Truth and Reconciliation day on September 30, students were encouraged to wear an orange shirt on Thursday, September 29 to bring awareness and honour the Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada. It's also a day to learn more about the history of those schools. Please note: there is no school on Friday, September 30 to honour this day.
